DESCRIPTION:Join us after the show for a panel discussion with Rollins College theater professors on directing around sensitive subject matter.  \nNational Theatre Live is the National Theatre’s groundbreaking project to broadcast the best of British theatre from the London stage to cinemas around the world. \nJodie Comer (Killing Eve) makes a critically acclaimed West End debut in the UK premiere of Suzie Miller’s award-winning\, one-women\, play. Tessa is a young\, brilliant barrister. She has worked her way up from working class origins to be at the top of her game; defending; cross examining and winning. An unexpected event forces her to confront the lines where the patriarchal power of the law\, burden of proof and morals diverge. \nPrima Facie takes us to the heart of where emotion and experience collide with the rules of the game. \n\n\nPurchase a Season Pass to attend all National Theatre Live performances and receive discounted admission\, as well as a complimentary glass of house wine at each show! \n\n\nMembers that are Contributor level or above and Season Passholders are able to make a table reservation for this series. Please make sure to have your confirmation number ready to provide to the box officer at time of your reservation. \n\nPanelists:  \nSarah Laake\, Director\, Office of Title IX\, Rollins College \nSarah has 16 years’ experience working in the non-profit and higher education sectors as an advocate creating environments free from violence and discrimination. She has served as Director of Title IX at Rollins College since 2018\, overseeing Title IX compliance for the institution\, managing grievance processes\, providing care and support for involved parties\, and leading violence prevention education initiatives. She previously worked at the University of Central Florida for six years\, where she provided leadership in victim services\, student Title IX investigations\, trauma-informed care\, supportive measures\, and prevention education programming. Additionally\, she has significant experience as a 24-hour domestic violence hotline manager and rape crisis victim advocate. She is passionate about upholding fair and equitable practices on campus and preventing sexual and interpersonal violence through education. \nDr. Marianne DiQuattro\, Assistant Professor of Theatre\, Rollins College \nDr. Marianne DiQuattro is a faculty member with the Department of Theatre and Dance at Rollins College. Her research interests lie at the intersection of dramatic literature\, performance history\, and phenomenology. She is interested in directing\, theatre for small communities\, and theatre and disability. Dr. DiQuattro teaches the Theatre History\, Script Analysis\, Global Theatre\, Travel Narratives\, and oversees the department’s concentration in Dramaturgy. She is the artistic director of Running Man Theatre\, an inclusive theatre company for actors of all abilities\, and most of the company are actors on the autism spectrum. Her recent directing credits include Cat on a Hot Tin Roof\, Shrek The Musical Jr. and The Wolves.
