Naritsugu’s ruthless behavior and unchecked power threaten the stability of the shogunate. To prevent future chaos\, Shinzaemon recruits twelve other samurai to form a death squad. Together\, the thirteen warriors prepare for a final\, explosive ambush in a remote village\, culminating in a climactic 45-minute battle sequence! \n13 Assassins received widespread acclaim for its direction\, performances\, and especially its brutal\, meticulously choreographed action. A remake of the 1963 film of the same name by Eiichi Kudo\, it is considered one of maverick director Takashi Miike’s (Audition) most accessible and critically respected works\, marking a departure from his usual horror and avant-garde style into a more classical narrative while sacrificing none of his operatic staging.
