DESCRIPTION:Live at the Roundhouse is unlike any other concert film connected with Pink Floyd. It’s the nearest thing you can get to a time machine\, transporting you back to the very earliest days of the band. Nick Mason\, the only band member to have played on all of Pink Floyd’s studio albums\, returns to the group’s earliest records\, joined in the line-up by Gary Kemp\, Guy Pratt\, Lee Harris and Dom Beken. \nNick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets took the drummer back to clubs for the first time in 1967\, then to theatres\, across the UK\, North America and Europe\, playing only music his old band had recorded before The Dark Side of the Moon. \nCaptured from the band’s celebrated shows at London’s Roundhouse\, where Pink Floyd played some of their most revered early shows in the 1960s\, the film features a uniquely thrilling set list including songs hailing from Syd Barrett’s time with the band. Only four songs from this eclectic roster have ever previously appeared on official live releases by Pink Floyd or its members. Everything else is being experienced for the first time since their original live performances.  \nThis theatrical event also includes a Q&A with Nick Mason and the band where they will answer questions submitted by fans\, exclusive to cinemas.

She promises to set the school straight\, and get the students’ focus back on education. However\, a Ramones concert is coming to town\, and Riff Randall\, the biggest Ramones fan at the high school\, plans on getting tickets to the concert in order to give them a song that she wrote entitled “Rock N’ Roll High School”. A series of events gets in the way of Riff’s plan and leads to a school evacuation by the police and an even more surprising ending!

DESCRIPTION:Come early to hear Theo Moon play live music at Eden Bar from 6:30-9:30PM\, courtesy of Performing Arts of Maitland! \nIn 1981\, writer and Warhol associate Glenn O’Brien\, Swiss photographer Edo Bertoglio\, and Jean-Michel Basquiat\, a graffiti innovator and noise music artist who’d just begun to exhibit his paintings\, hit the streets of lower Manhattan to make a movie about the bombed out bohemia that they knew\, with a script by O’Brien\, Bertoglio directing\, and Basquiat\, a naturally compelling presence\, starring. Left incomplete due to money problems and assembled for release in 2000\, Downtown 81\, which follows Basquiat trying to move a painting while hustling for a place to sleep\, became a window on a lost world of life on the margins and crazy creative ferment. Featuring John Lurie\, Fab Five Freddy\, and Debbie Harry\, with musical performances by DNA\, James White and the Blacks\, and Kid Creole and the Coconuts—and Manhattan in all its mangy glory.

In it\, Micky Dolenz\, Davy Jones\, Michael Nesmith\, and Peter Tork become trapped in a kaleidoscopic satire that’s movie homage\, media send-up\, concert movie\, and antiwar cry all at once. A constantly looping\, self-referential spoof that was ahead of its time\, Head dodged commercial success on its release but has since been reclaimed as one of the great cult objects of its era.

DESCRIPTION:Electric Church presents the legendary guitarist in full flight at the 1970 Atlanta Pop Festival before the largest US audience of his career. This critically acclaimed film combines color\, 16mm multi-camera footage of Hendrix unforgettable July 4\, 1970 concert in its original performance sequence together with a new documentary that traces his journey to the festival amidst the dark shadow of civil rights unrest\, the relenting toll of the Vietnam War and a burgeoning festival culture that drew together young people across the country who were inspired by the Woodstock festival. \nThe film details Hendrix integral role in drawing nearly 500\,000 people to his Electric Church – a dusty scorching hot pecan orchard in Byron\, Georgia some 100 miles south of Atlanta. Together with Experience drummer Mitch Mitchell and drummer Billy Cox\, Jimi skillfully blended favorites such as “Purple Haze\,” “All Along The Watchtower\,” and “Voodoo Chile (Slight Return)” with confident renditions of new songs such as “Freedom” and “Straight Ahead” that had not yet been released on album. As a colorful fireworks display stretched overhead across the night sky\, Jimi performed the “Star Spangled Banner” to the wild delight of the massive audience. \nThe performance footage of the Experience has been carefully restored from the original negative in high definition. The audio soundtrack includes stereo and 5.1 surround mixes by Eddie Kramer directly from the original master tapes.
