The film features a special appearance by close friend and long-term collaborator\, Marianne Faithfull. \nShot in colour by Andrew Dominik and with cinematography by Robbie Ryan\, THIS MUCH I KNOW TO BE TRUE is a companion piece to Dominik’s 2016 film One More Time with Feeling. It reaches into the deep friendship and personal relationship between Nick Cave and Warren Ellis\, something glimpsed in the 2014 Cave pseudo-documentary\, 20\,000 Days on Earth. The film will prove to be another significant moment in the journeys of Nick Cave and Warren Ellis\, capturing the mood and spirit of the pair as they move through a new\, optimistic phase.

As Archer tries to use his disguise to elicit information about a bomb from Troy’s brother\, Troy awakes from a coma and forces the doctor who performed the surgery to give him Archer’s face.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nMarguerite Barnett\, MD is a graduate of the Joint Harvard-MIT Health Sciences & Technology Program. Although she is board-certified in general and plastic surgery\, her experience in transplantation was limited to organ harvesting.  One of her mentors at Harvard\, Dr. Joseph Murray won a Nobel prize for his work in solid organ transplant. Through her military experience\, she trained at the Brooke Army Burn Center and did a microvascular fellowship\, so her passion has been reconstruction. Currently\, she is in private practice in Sarasota\, FL where she melds both cosmetic and reconstructive surgery in an internationally known practice. This critically acclaimed documentary incorporates never before released original performance footage and new interviews with firsthand participants and key players such as Billy Cox\, Eddie Kramer\, and Warner Bros. executives.\n\nThe film presents Hendrix\, joined by bassist Billy Cox and drummer Mitch Mitchell at the height of his powers\, playing flawlessly against a stunning natural backdrop. Included are breathtaking renditions of “Foxey Lady\,” “Purple Haze\,” and Voodoo Child (Slight Return)\,” as well as then-unreleased songs like “Dolly Dagger” and “Freedom” that showcased the new direction Hendrix was moving toward.

Acting as producer\, director\, writer\, composer\, editor\, and star\, Van Peebles created the prototype for what Hollywood would eventually co-opt and make into the blaxploitation hero: a taciturn\, perpetually blank-faced performer in a sex show\, who\, when he’s pushed too far by a pair of racist cops looking to frame him for a crime he didn’t commit\, goes on the run through a lawless underground of bikers\, revolutionaries\, sex workers\, and hippies in a kill-or-be-killed quest for liberation from white oppression. Sweet Sweetback’s Baadasssss Song’s incendiary politics are matched by Van Peebles’s revolutionary style\, in which jagged jump cuts\, kaleidoscopic superimpositions\, and psychedelic sound design come together in a sustained howl of rage and defiance.
