Celebrating 40-years of Enzian Theater, each month we will highlight a classic film from 1985 to illustrate the lasting impact of the films of the era and the legacy of Central Florida’s only non-profit arthouse movie theater.  Thank you for being part of our 4-decade contribution to arts culture in Orlando.

This film is a part of our Popcorn Flicks in the Park series, which takes place in Central Park, Winter Park once a month and is FREE and open to the public! These films are presented with open captions.

Celebrate four decades of Big Bird’s biggest adventure under the stars!

In this cherished Sesame Street classic, everyone’s favorite 8-foot-tall canary is sent to live with a family of dodos as part of a misguided social experiment. But when he realizes he truly belongs back on Sesame Street, Big Bird escapes and embarks on a cross-country journey filled with music and mishaps.

Featuring appearances by the whole Sesame Street gang, plus cameos from John Candy, Chevy Chase, and even Waylon Jennings, Follow That Bird is a funny, musical-filled, road movie for kids and grown-ups alike. Join us for this free outdoor screening to relive the magic with your family and friends—and celebrate 40 years of friendship, feathers, and finding your way home.

1985, 88 minutes, USA, Directed by Ken Kwapis, Rated G

  • “This first film from Sesame Street is this summer's sweetest surprise, a wholly good-natured children's comedy with enough wit and whimsy left over to win parents' hearts”

    – Rita Kempley, THE WASHINGTON POST
  • “This was a great movie. It has great music, a great story, great characters, and great writing. When I watch this movie, I feel exactly what Big Bird is feeling.”
